4:32p - tempting darknesses
Joss Whedon is a god. really. Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan i am, obviously.
why is it, anyway? i've always been fascinated from childhood. i remember seeing that early jim carrey flick, once bitten, and thinking that lauren hutton as a vampire was infinitely more attractive than bubblegum sweet karen kopins as the tweetums girlfriend. i've always thoguht vampires to be these seductive creatures, and that cheap horror film, fright night, starring chris sarandon and roddy mcdowall as, respectively, vampire jerry dandridge and vampire, er, slayer peter vincent, only served to reinforce my beliefs. there was a then sexy chris sarandon, seducing charlie brewster's girlfriend, amy, to low, soothing, hypnotic music on a soft, white rug on the floor in front of a fireplace. i realize now how direct a path that scene took from your average historical romance novel. but i digress.
and there's something really sexy about the biting on the neck. i've always thought that the way to really turn someone on was to, well, pay attention to their neck. light kiss, light, feathery touch, caress. i don't know. you'll know what to do when you get there.
there's something attractive about how you can drain a person of life and them enjoying it. it's a power that's very, very attractive. imagine, exchanging your life for a few, fatal, final moments of ecstasy, and such ecstasy. it's like watching my cats. they're beautiful and deadly, and you, pitiful human, can only hope to get their attention, their affection, their condescending meows.
we are all victims, and it can be such fun.
