6:01p - vanity searches
i'm bored. i'm supposed to be working, but there's just so much more to do online! such as Google people's names and see what pops up. :D
i Googled my name, and the results were pretty interesting. the first page showed:
- my name on the 501st website, listed as Garrison PR Officer. i rock. :D
- my Blurty blog, specifically, this entry. i guess it's because my last name is there.
- the Miriam College High School entry in the Names Database. ick. is there no escaping that time in my life?
- this was a major surprise! i saw the website name before i saw the context in which my name appeared, so you can imagine my shock.
- because my search keywords were only Regina Layug and not Regina+Layug, i got this. i don't think the Kristine mentioned there is my half-sister, though. this is her. yes, i Googled her too.
i Googled my other half-sister, Kate, too. the results for Kate were nicer. apparently she's a pretty popular PE teacher now. she was  quinnzap's table tennis instructor, and he didn't like her very much because she gave him a 2.25, wehehe. i remember some friends taking her classes then and telling me she was masungit. based on these posts and blog entries, it looks like she's mellowed down and loosened up. the first page of results showed:

i actually didn't start out with searching for my name and my half-siblings. i started out with my hunny bunny. the first page showed:
- Oneal's Frappr map
- articles about 501st activities on the New Worlds website
- his Rebel Legion profile. i wonder why this appeared before #6.
- Oneal's LinkedIn profile. you need to be signed in to see all of his details, though.
- a Drupal.org account! my hunny loves open source too! whee!
- the Philippine Outpost's page on the 501st website, with Oneal listed as Garrison Web Liaison. we rock. :D
- the RSS feed for the New Worlds Alliance podcasts
- a post on the TPON mailing list
the nice thing about the very first page of Oneal's Google results is that our names appear together in two of the search results. squee! happy geek love ♥

okay, fun time's over. i can go back to work now. :D
