12:44p - New Worlds: Transformed
Fans gather to celebrate at Powerplant in July
From July 9 to 15, there will be another celebration of fandom in New Worlds: Transformed, to be held at the Power Plant Mall at Rockwell.
The New Worlds Alliance (NWA), an organization of fan groups focused primarily on fantasy, science fiction, horror and superheroes, will be holding exhibits and activities that showcase the various ways they show their love for their favorite shows, books and authors. Highlighting the event is the opening of the film adaptation of JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, a week before the release of the last book of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

With such a following, it is no surprise that outfits like Rockwell Power Plant Mall, Level Up! Games, Dream FM, and Fandom Cafe have supported this event. It is open to the public. And the entrance, like imagination, is free. For more information, please log on to http://newworlds.ph/.

1:48p - what i did at Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles, #1
yes, we went out on the geekness and attended Star Wars Celebration IV. it was fun! we met so many people, did so many things, and saw so many celebrities!
as soon as you enter the convention center, you'll see a huge arch made of tarps, and a Death Star balloon looming over everyone. if you weren't feeling Star Wars-y yet when you entered, this would've made you feel it very much!

4:48p - what i did at Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles, #2
the first day of the event, May 24, was actually for members of the fan club. it was also Oneal's birthday! and the day of the 501st mixer. click the images for the full-size version. :)
we were standing in line at 8:30AM. the doors were scheduled to open at noon. even while we were just waiting outside, we already saw a lot of people in costume, including some adorable kids!
